The primary objective of the BOLTS program is to act as an eviction-prevention tool that tenants can use independently and safely. BOLTS offers a form of home support for SRO tenants, assisting them to improve the standard of living in their rooms. Crew members come with some cleaning skills and several have years of experience in construction, electrical, plumbing and other related maintenance skills. All tenants living in a building with a BOLTS crew have access to the program. By having members of the BOLTS crew residing in the building they provide this service to, crew members can build upon already existing relationships within their hotels and cultivate greater trust between neighbours.
